Federal Circuit Urged To Reconsider Columbia Design Patent Ruling

Several prominent design patent lawyers and an industrial design group are asking the full Federal Circuit to review a ruling that upended Columbia Sportswear’s win in a patent infringement case.

Seven attorneys from four law firms and the Industrial Designers Society of America Inc. (IDSA) filed amicus briefs Jan. 27 supporting Columbia’s bid for a rehearing in Columbia Sportswear v. Seirus Innovative Accessories.
