A jury verdict clearing Roku Inc. of allegations it infringed a patent on screen mirroring appears safe after a three-judge panel of the Federal Circuit grilled the patent owner asking for a new trial.
The verdict came in Judge Alan Albright’s first patent trial since he joined the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. Although he has been criticized for attracting infringement suits by patent owners to his court, the first trial ended in a defense verdict.
