Federal Circuit Declines To Hear Three Patent-Related Cases

In three nonprecedential orders issued April 26, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit declined to exercise jurisdiction over appeals of district court patent-related rulings.

In one order, the court declined to exercise pendent jurisdiction over a district court’s contempt order that was issued after a plaintiff secured a preliminary injunction prohibiting the sale of a defendant’s products that infringed the plaintiff’s patent (U.S. Patent No. 8,044,942) (Aevoe Corp. v.
