Federal Circuit Chief Position to Pass to Judge Moore in May (1)

Judge Kimberly A. Moore will assume the role of chief judge of the Federal Circuit on May 22, the court announced Wednesday.

Moore will replace Judge Sharon Prost, who has served as judge since May 31, 2014. Her seven-year term ends a few days before she turns 70, when she will be statutorially ineligible to serve as chief. Prost has served on the court since President George W. Bush appointed her in 2001.
