FanDuel, DraftKings Partly Nix WinView App Patents at Tribunal

FanDuel Inc. and DraftKings Inc. convinced an administrative tribunal to invalidate portions of three WinView Inc. patents covering technology intended to prevent latency issues and distribute entertainment on the online sportsbooks’ apps.

The Patent Trial and Appeal Board ruled Monday that 34 of the 245 claims compromising US Patent Nos. 9,993,730, 10,721,543, and 9,878,243 are invalid because they’re obvious in light of previous inventions.
