Fall Out Boy Llama Copyright Claims Dropped by Puppet Studio

The rock band Fall Out Boy and a puppet maker who says it created the band’s llama mascots jointly agreed to drop the studio’s copyright claims over the llamas in Manhattan federal court.

Furry Puppet Studio Inc. sued the band and its label Universal Music Group Inc. last year for allegedly exceeding the scope of their license to the llamas by using them outside of the music video for which they were created.

The studio said in its complaint that it created “two striking and unique wearable, llama-like puppets” for Fall Out Boy’s “Young and Menace” music video. According to ...
