Failure to Supply Specific Information On Alleged Misappropriations Fatal to Claims

A global fragrance manufacturer failed to adequately identify the majority of more than 600 formulas that it had alleged had been misappropriated by a former vice president who had gone to work for a competitor, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey ruled Oct. 25 in an opinion designated as not for publication (Givaudan Fragrances Corp. v. Krivda, D.N.J., 2:08-cv-04409-PGS-ES, 10/25/13).

Granting partial summary judgment in favor of the defendant, the court, however, permitted the claims to go forward regarding 34 of the formulas.
