Facebook Live Infringes Patents, Webcast Tech Company Says

Facebook Inc.‘s live-streaming technology infringes patents owned by webcast technology company Onstream Media Corp., according to a lawsuit filed in Texas federal court.

Facebook Live’s infringing features include the ability to record audio and video over a browser connection and to stream and record without specialized equipment, Onstream alleged in a Dec. 13 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.
