Facebook and Others Nix Six Website Building Patent Claims

Facebook, Google LLC, and other tech companies successfully shot holes through two patents at the heart of a litigation campaign, convincing an administrative tribunal to invalidate parts of the patents Wednesday.

The patents, which relate to website creation and display technology, have been asserted by Express Mobile Inc. in dozens of cases. The suits, many of which were filed in the Western District of Texas, allege patent infringement by companies including Facebook, Google, eBay Inc., Salesforce Inc., and Adobe Inc..
