Ex-DraftKings VP Says Company Punishing Him for Fanatics Move

Michael Hermalyn, the former DraftKings Inc. executive accused of absconding to Fanatics with stacks of confidential information, denied stealing private data or recruiting colleagues to join him at the rival online sports-gambling platform.

DraftKings “liberally distorts reality and resorts to unnecessary character assassination” when the evidence shows “that Hermalyn did nothing wrong,” according to Hermalyn’s March 21 filing in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. DraftKings is trying “to force Hermalyn to be benched as punishment for leaving,” according to the filing.
