Everspin Technologies Inc.'s radiation-resistant memory chips—used in aerospace, defense, and enterprise storage systems—infringe four magnetic-memory patents, Avalanche Technology Inc. said in a pair of legal complaints seeking a US trade agency import ban and damages.
Avalanche filed a complaint Wednesday at the US International Trade Commission alleging that Everspin’s spin-transfer torque magnetoresistive random access memory—or STT-MRAM—chips infringe US Patent Nos. 9,318,179, 9,419,210, 10,490,737, and 11,678,586. The California-based company seeks an ITC order blocking imports of the chips and downstream products containing them.
