VKontakte, the European social network site, has been cleared of copyright infringement claims by a St. Petersburg court, Digital Music News reported.
Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group all targeted St. Petersburg-based VKontakte, arguing that it was enabling unauthorized uploading of their musical works, according to Digital Music News.
VKontakte said it wasn’t aware of the infringement and couldn’t have reasonably known it was taking place, the music news service reported.
