A group of European rap producers won’t pursue claims that Travis Scott’s number-one hit “Highest in the Room” ripped off a recording they had previously sent to his producers, according to an order filed in California federal court.
Olivier Bassil, Benjamin Lasnier, and Lukas Benjamin Leth said Scott’s song misused their “Cartier,” which they sent, along with other songs, to hip-hop artists and producers including Jamie Lepr, Nik Dejan Frascona, and Ozan Yildirim, who later worked on Scott’s song.
