Esco Group Expert’s Royalty Rate Blocked in Deere Patent Feud

A federal judge rejected Esco Group LLC’s bid to reconsider his June order blocking part of a damages expert’s testimony in a case over Deere & Co.’s alleged use of patented features that make excavator attachments more durable and stable.

Judge William C. Bryson denied the Weir Group Plc unit’s motion for reargument or reconsideration of his June 22 order, according to a redacted version docketed Tuesday of an opinion issued last week in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
