SynKloud Technologies LLC hit Epic Systems Corp. with a patent infringement lawsuit over its health-care software MyChart.
MyChart allows patients to communicate with their doctors and access health records through an online portal, according to the complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. SynKloud said the software uses similar techniques as those detailed in its US Patent No. 8,856,383, which deals with “systems and methods for controlling information and use of communications devices through a central server.”
