Entropic Expands Cable Patent Infringement Fight Against Comcast

Comcast Corp.'s cable TV services and equipment infringe two Entropic Communications LLC patents covering technology to improve signal quality, according to a federal lawsuit.

Comcast has touted the technological benefits provided by US Patent Nos. 10,135,682 and 9,866,438 and known of its infringement since at least 2023, Entropic alleged in a complaint filed Nov. 26 in the US District Court for the Central District of California. The lawsuit adds to Entropic’s litigation against Comcast, including a separate lawsuit in the same district over eight additional patents.

Comcast didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
