Emerson Radio Wins $6.5 Million in ‘Emerson Quiet Kool’ Mark Row

Emerson Radio Corp. won $6.5 million Tuesday from Emerson Quiet Kool Co. and Home Easy Ltd. because they infringed its trademarks and falsely claimed connections with the brand to sell window and wall room air-conditioning units, a federal judge in Delaware ruled.

Judge Leonard P. Stark granted Emerson Radio’s request that he find EQK and Home Easy in default, calling the judgment “entirely warranted,” according to an opinion in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. Hong Kong-based Home Easy Industrial Co. bought EQK in 2016, according to the suit.
