Elysium Owes WR Grace $3.6 Million in ‘Basis’ Patent Damages (1)

Elysium Health Inc. must pay W.R. Grace & Co. $3.6 million in royalties after a federal jury in Delaware found its vitamin B3 supplement Basis infringes two patents.

Jurors said Elysium intentionally infringed Grace subsidiary W.R. Grace & Co.-Conn.’s US Patent Nos. 10,323,058 and 10,189,872, which gives the judge the option to increase damages to as much as triple the amount the jury awarded, according to a verdict issued Aug. 25 in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
