Edwards’ Heart Valve Clips Targeted by Cardiovalve Patent Suit

Edwards Lifesciences Corp.’s catheter-based heart valve clips infringe a patent for a prosthetic support used to repair leaky heart valves, two Venus Medtech (Hangzhou) Inc. units said in a federal lawsuit.

Edwards’ PASCAL Precision Transcatheter Valve Repair System, including the PASCAL and PASCAL Ace implants, infringe US Patent No. 10,702,385, Cardiovalve Ltd. and MTH IP LP said in a complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
