EasyJet, Colombian EasyFly Settle ‘Easy’ Trademark Dispute

The owner of British airline EasyJet and other “Easy” trademarks settled its infringement suit against Colombian airline Easyfly, according to filings in a federal court in Florida.

EasyGroup Ltd. sued Easyfly, as well as travel sites like Kayak and Skyscanner, in January 2020. Easyfly was accused of choosing its name with the intent of copying the “Easy” marks; the travel sites were accused of profiting from the allegedly infringing trademarks by promoting tickets by Easyfly. Kayak and Skyscanner were both permanently dismissed from the case.
