BoxCast Inc., a provider of live streaming services for churches, can’t stop a rival from selling its own streaming technology to new customers while their patent fight plays out in an East Texas court, a federal judge decided.
Judge Rodney Gilstrap in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas said BoxCast hadn’t shown it would be irreparably harmed without a preliminary injunction blocking Plano, Texas-based Resi Media LLC’s sales to new or potential customers.
The case is set for trial in September.
