Dupe.com Settles Williams-Sonoma’s Copyright, False Ads Lawsuit

The operator of website Dupe.com settled Williams-Sonoma Inc.'s lawsuit accusing the site of infringing the home retail giant’s product photos with social media ads that falsely disparage the company’s brands.

The parties filed a stipulation of dismissal Monday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, saying they’d reached a settlement agreement over Williams-Sonoma’s claims of copyright infringement, false advertising, unfair competition, and deceptive trade practices.
