Dunkin’, Beyond Meat Sued for ‘Great Taste, Plant-Based’ Ads (1)

Dunkin’ Donuts and Beyond Meat Inc. were hit with a lawsuit Thursday seeking royalties and profits from more than $135 million in sales of Dunkin’s Beyond Sausage breakfast sandwich, whose ad campaign Vegadelphia Foods alleges used a slogan—"Great Taste, Plant-Based”—that infringes its registered trademark.

Vegadelphia, a Philadelphia-based company officially named Sonate Corp., filed the complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against Beyond Meat and two units of Atlanta-based Inspire Brands Inc., Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc. and Dunkin’ Brands Inc.
