DraftKings Wins Further Review of Sportsbook Patent After Denial

DraftKings Inc. convinced US Patent and Trademark Office Director Kathi Vidal to order further review of its petition to cancel a wagering systems patent its Sportsbook app has been accused of infringing.

Vidal ordered a Patent Office rehearing panel to reconsider a Patent Trial and Appeal Board decision denying DraftKings’ request to review US Patent No. 11,200,779, which covers a system for “cashing out” a wager before the event being wagered upon ends.
