DraftKings Broke NFT License Deal, NFL Players Association Says

The NFL players’ union accused Draftkings Inc. in a Manhattan court of failing to hold up its end of a licensing contract that allowed the fantasy-sports platform to use players’ names, images, and likenesses for a now-shuttered NFT trading card offering.

“The once white-hot market for NFTs has cooled down,” the NFL Players Association wrote in its complaint, filed Monday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. “Buyers’ remorse, however, is not a basis to terminate a contract.”
