Telemedicine software provider Doxy.me LLC sued Doximity Inc. for a declaration that it doesn’t infringe Doximity’s trademarks on Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York.
The complaint said Doximity threatened to sue Doxy for causing confusion in the telemedicine market. But Doxy said that it has been operating in the space for years, and that Doximity didn’t start providing telemedicine services until earlier this month.
Doxy said it has sold software to enable secure telemedicine communications since 2013, and owns a federal trademark registration for “Doxy.me.” Doximity is best known as a networking site ...
