Doximity Moves to Scrap OpenEvidence’s AI Trade Secrets Suit

Medical AI platform operator OpenEvidence Inc.'s meritless trade secrets lawsuits represent an effort to “stifle fair competition,” rival Doximity Inc. told a federal judge in a motion to dismiss.

OpenEvidence’s June complaint against Doximity, like its suits against other rivals, alleged theft of purportedly concealed trade secrets by probing its publicly available chatbot, Doximity’s motion in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts said Monday. It said the complaint failed to identify a trade secret and wrongly attempted to claim that displaying answers generated by OpenEvidence’s own platform constitutes defamation.
