Dolby Fires Back Against InterDigital in Streaming Patent War

Dolby Laboratories Inc. filed a pair of suits against InterDigital Inc.—a company that owns, licenses and sometimes litigates based on a portfolio of tens of thousands of patents— in response to infringement litigation targeting its customers, including Disney and Amazon.

Dolby said six of InterDigital’s patents are invalid and weren’t copied by Dolby’s various customers in their video streaming products.
