A group of Dodge Viper enthusiasts proved that a Kansas car dealership infringed its copyrights by exceeding a license to use a photo in advertising.
The group made a prima facie showing of copyright infringement, but questions remained as to whether the infringement was willful and if the copyright claim was barred by estoppel, the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas said Sept. 9.
