Minneapolis-based Hennepin Healthcare System must go to trial to defend against allegations that it demoted one of its doctors due to posts she made online.
There’s factual disputes surrounding whether Tara Gustilo’s controversial Facebook posts led to the “fracturing” within Hennepin’s obstetrics and gynecology department, or whether her behavior at work was the root cause, Judge Susan Richard Nelson of the US District Court for the District of Minnesota said in a Thursday order denying the hospital summary judgment.
