Disney, Portland Pickles Settle TV Show Merch Trademark Suit

Disney Enterprises Inc. reached a settlement with the Portland Pickles baseball team over its sale of “Peaks Valley Pickles” merchandise that referenced a team in the Disney+ show “Win or Lose.”

Rose City Baseball LLC—operator of the Portland Pickles—said in its lawsuit Disney’s merchandise confused fans into thinking the team partnered with Disney or sold it rights. The team filed a notice of settlement and joint request to stay deadlines for 30 days so the parties could finalize and execute the agreement, according to the Thursday filing in the US District Court for the District of Oregon.
