Dish Dodges Dismissal of Suit Over Tech Used by Czech Porn Sites

Dish Technologies LLC‘s patent suit against a pair of pornography sites can continue after a federal judge in Utah denied WebGroup Czech Republic AS’s motion to dismiss.

Chief Judge Robert J. Shelby found Webgroup and its co-defendant NKL Associates SRO had “waived their personal jurisdiction defense” by filing motions to transfer and halt progress in the suit, according to his Feb. 20 order issued by the US District Court for the District of Utah.
