Sean Combs—the rapper and entrepreneur better known as Diddy—sued the majority owner of Sean John in Manhattan federal court Thursday, accusing the fashion company he created of falsely attributing a quote to him in advertising a new clothing line.
Combs launched the Sean John brand in 1998. Global Brands Group bought a majority stake in it in 2016.
