A medical diagnostics products company failed to convince a California federal judge to grant it an immediate restraining order in its trade secrets suit against a former employee’s new company.
Gold Standard Diagnostics LLC plausibly alleged its claimed customer data constituted trade secrets, but couldn’t show it would suffer irreparable harm without a temporary restraining order, the US District Court for the Eastern District of California said. Judge Dale A. Drozd also held that Gold Standard didn’t show it was likely to win claims regarding other asserted secrets against Clear Path Diagnostics LLC.
