Defense Parts Whistleblower Gets Hearing to Oppose Dismissal (2)

A False Claims Act whistleblower showed that a court improperly dismissed a suit accusing Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and other contractors of improperly billing a US defense agency for equipment and vehicle parts.

Roger Charles Day Jr. sued under seal in June 2023, alleging that the defendants submitted false claims for replacement parts for equipment and vehicles to the Defense Logistics Agency. Day contends that the defendants sold their parts via sole source contracts instead of through competitive procedures required by contract regulations, the opinion from the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia said.
