Danaher Loses Bid to Pause Sysmex Case on Blood Analyzer Patents

A federal magistrate judge denied a bid by Danaher Corp.’s Beckman Coulter to pause Sysmex Corp.'s 2019 patent-infringement case over blood-sample analyzers while Sysmex appeals the cancellation of patent claims not at issue here.

Ruling from the bench Thursday, Judge Christopher J. Burke said that “this case—one that has been pending for years, and that has already seen its trial date moved once—needs to proceed to trial,” according to the case’s electronic docket in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
