DaBaby Dropped From Second Suit Over Dua Lipa’s ‘Levitating’

Rapper DaBaby was dropped from a copyright lawsuit alleging he and pop star Dua Lipa lifted the melody of the 1979 song “Wiggle and Giggle All Night” to create Lipa’s hit song “Levitating.”

Disco duo L. Russell Brown and Sandy Linzer’s notice of voluntary dismissal was approved by US District Judge Katherine Polk Failla on Monday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. Lipa, her co-writers, Sony Music Publishing, Universal Music, and Warner Records all still face the copyright infringement claims.
