Culligan International Sheds Tracking Beacon Privacy Lawsuit

Culligan International convinced a federal court to dismiss a consumer privacy advocate’s proposed class action over the global water treatment company’s use of online trackers.

Plaintiff Rebeka Rodriguez failed to demonstrate she had standing to bring the dispute over the 35 tracking beacons she said Culligan installed on her browser, Judge Anthony J. Battaglia, of the US District Court for the Southern District of California said.
