Cruise Control Patent Partly Wiped Out at Agency Tribunal

Unified Patents successfully convinced the Patent Trial and Appeal Board to invalidate part of a vehicle cruise control patent that major automakers were sued for infringing.

Claims in Carrum Technologies LLC’s 7,925,416 patent are invalid because they are obvious in light of prior inventions, the board said in a decision entered Wednesday.
