Crocs Unit’s Patent Suit Targets Knockoffs of Jibbitz Charms

Crocs Inc.’s Jibbitz unit accused a California mall-kiosk operator in a federal lawsuit of selling knockoff shoe charms that infringe three patents covering its popular Crocs accessories.

Jibbitz Inc. said MMA Trading LLC’s “Charms Zone” kiosks across the Los Angeles area sell charms that copy its patented design for securing decorative accessories to molded foam shoes, according to a complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
