Corteva Fails to Fast-Track Appeal in Syngenta Corn-Patent Suit

A Corteva Inc. unit conceded Syngenta Group’s hybrid-corn-breeding process doesn’t infringe its patent, but a federal judge rejected its bid for final judgment to fast-track an appeal.

Syngenta Seeds LLC, a Syngenta subsidiary, didn’t fight the request for partial summary judgment of noninfringement by Corteva’s Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc. unit, Judge Richard G. Andrews wrote in an opinion issued Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
