Delaware’s top court paused Corteva Inc.’s licensing fight with Bayer AG over Roundup-resistant corn while the US Supreme Court considers whether to take up a separate case that could influence how courts interpret royalty obligations tied to expired patents.

Chief Justice Collins J. Seitz Jr., writing for the Delaware Supreme Court’s full five-judge panel, issued the order Thursday to stay the case while the nation’s high court considers Atrium Medical Corp.’s petition for review of a medical-device licensing dispute.
