The U.S. Copyright Office is requesting public comment on its plans for building a new, more digitized registration system.
The request, published in the Federal Register Oct. 17, seeks feedback on more than a dozen proposals on the application process, submitted media format, and accessibility of information from applications and registered copyrights. Comments on the efforts “to improve user experience, increase Office efficiency, and decrease processing times” are due by Jan. 15, 2019, the request said.
