Contract Manufacturer Says Engineers, Client Stole Surgical Tool

Tegra Medical LLC accused two former engineering employees of conspiring with a client to steal and patent a specialized surgical tool they invented together, according to a recent lawsuit.

Rickey Hart—Tegra’s former lead process development engineer for a prototype venture with client Aurora Medical Technologies Corp.—teamed up with Aurora’s founder Brian Tinkham and chief financial backer Peter Rogal to form what is now Softac Medical Technologies Inc. on March 9, 2022, Tegra, a medical device contract manufacturer, said in a Massachusetts state court complaint.
