A Pennsylvania company and its supplier owe a shower curtain inventor and seller $3 million for infringing trademarks and design patents, following a bench trial in New York federal court.
SureFit Home Decor LLC and Zahner Design Group Ltd. established that goods sold by Kartri Sales Co. infringed its EZ-ON and HOOKLESS trademarks, and shower curtain trade dress, the US District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled Thursday. The court also tabulated damages for infringement of three design patents, liability for which was decided in a 2020 summary judgment.
