CommScope Owes Patent Firm $11 Million Over Infringed DSL Tech

TQ Delta LLC won a more than $11 million verdict its infringement trial against CommScope Holding Co. Inc. over the digital subscriber line patents, though the jury’s findings were mixed.

The patent monetization company sued CommScope in August 2021, alleging the large North Carolina-based network infrastructure provider had cribbed DSL technology linked to 12 patents, seven of which it took to trial. TQ Delta filed the lawsuit in US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, a patent litigation hot spot where its complaint said CommScope maintains a business.
