Comcast’s Peacock App Among Targets of U.S. Trade Complaint (2)

Broadband iTV Inc. filed a patent-infringement complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission against telecom giants Comcast Corp., Charter Communications Inc., and Altice USA Inc., seeking orders blocking imports and sales of set-top boxes, streaming devices, and mobile streaming apps including NBC’s Peacock.

BBiTV alleges infringement of four patents related to video-on-demand and electronic program-guide technologies, according to the complaint, which was filed April 22 in Washington. The ITC issued a notice about the filing on Monday.
