The companies behind the popular childrens’ channel CoComelon has filed a lawsuit to protect its copyrights from a YouTube franchise that’s allegedly released hundreds of videos ripping off its content.
Moonbug Entertainment Ltd. and Treasure Studio Inc. accused Vietnamese company EnjoGroup Corp. of willfully replicating copyrighted video characters, settings, song titles, lyrics, and images in its GoBooBoo videos, according to a complaint filed April 10 in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
