Coca-Cola Beats Drink Dispenser Patent Infringement Case

Coca-Cola Co. didn’t infringe a beverage dispenser patent with its Freestyle Dispenser custom soft drink machine and accompanying phone app, the Northern District of Georgia said April 23.

Coca-Cola’s dispenser didn’t allow users to communicate with it “directly,” as required by the patent, the court said.

Rothschild Connective Devices Innovations LLC owns a patent covering “a beverage dispenser that produces a personalized beverage based upon a user’s individual beverage product preferences.”
