A New Jersey-based firm that partnered with CMG Holdings Group Inc. on technology that increases the value and quality of low-grade petroleum was sued there by Earle Refining LLC, which alleges an oil treatment facility in northern New Jersey and a prototype plant in the south already use Earle’s patented technology.
Earle, in a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey, cites as “strong evidence of infringement” a series of CMG press releases about “magnetic vacuum upgrading,” or MVU, a technology for refining crude oil.
